Yes, I know
And the fires and foil on the fuses are funny too. I have seen some people going off of the ingnorant suggestion of others and using pennies as fuses for thier amplifiers so that they can "get mo powa". Seen people who run multiple batts to support the current demand and leave thier connections messy with strands hanging out of the terminals. Saw a guy the other day with his PWR coming through the hood and into the vehicle via the window.Father and son working to turn a '64 Falcon into a street and track monster.

The minimum I would even think about is 16, and 14 would be a better choice.

20 some years ago, I completely rewired a 62 Plymouth on a budget. I even made my own fuse box from a Radio Shack project box .. I planned to make this a "perfect" job.. drew up a schematic, everything color coded, neat wire runs & connections, simple and easy to maintain.
Well, the components were purchased at a reasonable cost but, figuring my labor at $1.00 per hour, I must have invested a couple of hundred bucks plus!
With the various offerings on the market today, you would be much further ahead (in time & aggravation) to purchase a complete kit from one of the providers of wiring kits. Check out our new vendor " I squared"... looks pretty neat.

An 18 circut EZ wire kit was only $175 for a GM set up all the harness and connectors. The wire is labeled where it goes ,very easy. I've used Francis and Painless and had great results too. If you have the time and patience try to repair it.

I just purchased a 21 circuit kit on e-bay for $135.00.The guy had 10 sets and had sold 3 when I bought mine. His name and phone is Andy Cappola, phone# 973-678-6669 . There is a Toll free no. on the box 1-866-462-7628. The name of the harness is Its a Snap. I havent installed it yet but it looks good;and his E-Bay reviews were excellent.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
