Teach me......
What do I apply , and how, when choosing a torque converter? Not needing one now, But have always wondered What the proper way to choose one, is .I understand that day-to-day, street , strip, gears, & motor all are factors . But what is the best way to apply all of them, to come up with what would be best for that application?"Whad'ya want for nuth'N, ..............aaa,rrrrrubber biscuit... ?"

These "Switch pitch coverters" require some extra hardware to run that you can buy from the same guys. Looks like these things could be allot of fun for that auto trans crowd.

torque converter
I called B & M when I needed a converter for my Falcon Delivery.
Their tech guy asked usage, weight, weight bias, trans gearing, rear gear, tire size, idle speed, torque curve, camshaft specs, induction, redline, any towing, trans cooler, driveshaft weight, type of diff, whether driveline was rigid-mounted, flywheel weight, engine balanced.
He asked a lot, and in return I got a converter custom-fit to my application. No mail-order crap, or some guy who doesn't know better saying "a 429 never came in a Falcon, are you sure its not a 289" like at Autozone when I needed plugs.Ensure that the path of least resistance is not you...
