    Hilborn scoop

Hey I have a Hilborn scoop & I am ready to install it. I only want it to rise about half of the scoops height out of the hood. No problem there. I have been contemplating the best way to get measurments for the hole & how to cut it. Any suggestions especially if you have experience would be appreciated.
Not your traditional hotrod but she'll do low
    14's, good nough.

you'll need to cut it a couple of times so you wan't get to big, but I'd start by measuring from the hood grill to the center of the carb. from the left fender to carb. from the right fender to carb. take the hood and apply the # you got off of the car and mark the hood. make a patten out of cardboard of the scoop and match it up with the center of the carb. that you marked on the hood.

Good plan of action. Thanks I'll be going for it this week.
