Powder Coating & Stainless, Alum, Chrome???
Hello Everyone, Can powder coating be applied over stainless steel, aluminum &/or chrome??? Now I guess chrome can be sand blasted off if it can't be applied over it, right??? Thanks Bill

Shouldn't be a problem on aluminum.
Stainless steel either.
I've been running a couple of aluminum intake manifolds - one for about 12 years - that are powder coated black.
They still look good.
Same deal with some interior aluminum parts I made and had powdered black.
Pat's advice about hitting the chrome with 320 gritshould work fine.
Better yet may be taking the piece to a chrome tank and having it stripped.
Costs should be minimal since there's no polishing or other chrome plating preparatory work to be done.C9

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
