Excellent progress on the LS1 Studebaker this week
I have multiple projects going on at once on the LS1 Studebaker conversion. Finished up a major step this week, getting the transmission crossmember fit and welded. There are a few things I am relying on my good friends to help with, and the welding on the crossmember was one of them. My buddy Dennis dragged his MIG welder over the week and we went to work and "Got 'er done." I even did a little bit of the welding.

Here's a picture of the finished product, before paint, which is the next step after pulling the motor out, again!
Another item I am relying on the skills and willing help of friends on is modifying the driver side header, hopefully we will have a final fit on that tomorrow.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
