SBC in a 49 for shoe box

Is there any one making motor mounts and trans mounts for the
49 ford shoe box, wanting to put SBC/ turbo 350 combo in mine?
    Thank you.....Mike

Probably lots of places, but I am looking at a catalog from "Hot Rod and Custom Supply" and they have a kit for $ 109.95 that are bolt in motor mounts, and for $ 32.95 you can get the tranny mount to put a 350 turbo behind it.

Their phone number is 1-800-741-4687 or www.rodncustom.com.

Man, these prices are like 1959 all over again !!!!!

Hope this helps, but I'm sure others will have more places to look.

hotroddaddy - What was your buddies solution to the drag link
hittting the pan? I am going to lower mine but not as low as
a lawn mower. I think it's been lowered some by previos owner
but with no motor in I don't know the ride heigth yet.

At one time you could buy dropped tierods, that had the middle cut out and dropped down a few inches, and reinforced with steel plate. This can still be done, but make sure your welder is qualified to make these kinds of welds, and does it really well.

They just take a piece about 2 or so feet out, drop it down, build drop down plates and well the heck out of it.

No fun to have a tie rod break.
