Power steering
Ok I got the car back in the garage to start working on it again. Got some parts coming in that I bought. Got the engine and tranny to put in it. Now to figure out the steering.
I want to put power steering in, What do I need to switch out for it to work? I am looking at a power steering pump of a 66 a body. What else will I need for this to work?1949 Plymouth Club Coupe Still in pieces.

Its the original right now. I am still looking for a different one, just want to drive the car this summer, hopefully. Then next winter I will switch out the front end.1949 Plymouth Club Coupe Still in pieces.

You'll need to swap in a power steering box and adapt it to the '49 drag link/tie rods. Then adapt it to your steering column.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Thanks Tech, I was thinking thats what I had to do, I got the front end all taken off, So I think I will do all that now before I put it all back on after primering it.
Which box would you recommend? What would be the easiest to adapt? Or would it be easier to change out the whole steering column and box? If so which would fit?1949 Plymouth Club Coupe Still in pieces.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
