Well, it really depends on what you like I guess.
I know what I like; but, I absolutely, 100000000%, guarentee you that there will be many others that disagree with me. And some might actually agree with me as well.
They are obviously different from each other and they work differently. They are also tuned differently as well.
For daily drivers, either way you go, I personally prefer one with an electric choke. Some would argue that it's only one more thing to fail; but, I personally like the idea of turning the key to the "on" position, hitting the electric fuel pump prime switch, pausing for a second, and then crank the engine. It fires right off the bat and I don't have to pump the gas pedal or mess with the choke to get it right. I'll admit that I am lazy when it comes to this; but, IMO if, it's a daily driver, you shouldn't have to tweak it constantly.
Now all of that said, I also prefer Edelbrock because they absolutely hold a tune for ever.
Like I said, though, there are a lot of people who despise Edelbrock carbs; just like I despise Holleys.
