Smoothing tire sidewalls question
I'm in the process of building a '32 highboy and unfortunately, the tires I'd like to use have the ugly ribbing that appears on the sidewalls of so many of the new tire designs these days. What's even worse is that the tire sidewalls are different between the front and the rear units I'd like to use. Has anyone had any experience or know of anyone who has had any experience smoothing the sidewalls of their tires? I've seen a few rides here and there on which guys have taken the time to do it (most notably anything that comes out of Bobby Alloway's shop) but all I've ever heard about is how unpleasant of a task it is, not info on how to do it. Any help or advice that anyone could send my way would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
