Nope, here is how it is wired. When you look directly at the solenoid you will see 3 studs. One fat one in the middle and a skinny stud on each side.

The center fat one is obviously for your battery cable. The skinny one to the right of the fat one is the stud that kicks the starter to work. Hook up the wire that goes to the ignition switch there.

The other stud takes the wire that goes to your coil. It provides a full 12 volts to the coil ONLY WHILE YOU ARE CRANKING, to give the coil a full shot to get the car started easier.
