Oh, By the way. I don,t remember where it was talked about at. But guys were saying that cars with a point type distrbiter were only getting 6 volts. And that a HEI dis. needed 12 volts. I have replace the point dis. in my truck with the HEI dis. I have trace the wires to the starter and have inspected the other wires up under the hood. I have found no resistors. And ofcourse have a 12 volt battery and a 12 volt system. If there is indeed only 6 volts going to my dis. How would I correct that issue. On my dis, the coil is mouted on top of the dis.
