Best way to install new carpet?

    Hey guys,

I am now finished the outer part of my custom 66 thunderbird and have now moved inside. A question for all the pros on this site with interior work...

I have a new carpet that is pre-formed for my car but as you probably know its not exact. What is the best way to get it to sit nice and tight along the floor pan? I think I remember watching American Hotrod and the mexican family that they contract for interior work steamed the carpet?? Is this how to do it? Any help would be great. Also I did purchase a heavy duty spray adhesive to spray on the back of the carpet and floor boards... is that what you would all recomend? Step by step please cause Im a total rookie!!

OK I searched it sorry!!!! lots of info to go by!! My bad!
