I was thinking about getting the thread in style and threading it into the radiator where the drain petcock goes, but i dont think that would be an accurate representation of actual engine coolant temperature, since the coolant in the rad is cooler than in the block.
I think it will be OK. I worry more about the temp. staying consistent than anything else, so ounce you get the first reading and its stays close to that, them it should be OK.
