Salvage Yards
The other day a friend of mine and I went to a yard about 1 hr away. Never been there before and didn't know what to expect. We were told the yard had 57 chevys piled up OUT BACK. Well he was right they were litterily piled up 4 & 5 high There wasn't a car there newer than mid 60s. The owner had just bought it. It had been sitting abandond for some time. We spent hours walking through this yard. I thought I had gone back 40 years. Now the real news there wasn't an engine to be found no interiors, they were just big hulks rotting away every peace of glass was broken. Trees growing up through the cars one started under the fender well and exited through the head light opening. There were 2 cars that I inquired about 57 pontiac's good glass complete cars he was just storing them for somone. I got to say I felt like I wanted to scream it felt like being in a grave yard. Even 10 yrs ago this would have been a great yard to go through. Wish I 'd brought my camera. The cars ranged in age from 1930/1968 realy a shame to me. These yards are out there just didn't think I'd find one so close to home.Charlie

We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
