need some bodywork advice
ok my full size chevy has a hole in the bottom corner of the cab (like fist sized) and its rusted out over the rearwheel (id say 2-3 inches across). whats the best way to fix this?
please keep in mind i have OK skills and dont have many bodywork tools

The only permanet fix is to weld in new metal. Mig welding is simple to learn. Contact your local street rod club.... I bet there is someone that will help.

Patch panels are available for these areas lower cab corners aren't to bad to change but should be welded in. As far as side panel of bed that is a bit more work in fact its easy to mess it up, thats a long streight panel. The big problem is what you see is not all there is. I would suggest you buy or at least look into buying a bed. There are plenty out there for around $500 or $600. Where your at there should be places to check with. What year is the truck?Charlie

i can get a bed for 150 so thats not a issue the cab is though. does someone make patches or do i have to make one out of sheetmetal?

Lot of companies make cab corners and rockers. Do a google search for "patch panels"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
