    What gas tank works best for a 54 chevy truck?

     



    Not looking for a custom tank,just something I can pull from the junk yard.I need to mount the tank in the bed between the frame rails.What did you use?Thanks

    I've used Mustang tanks in a bunch of different cars,,,,, also some of the large cars, all brands, have big low profile type tanks that will fit between the frame rails.
    Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

    oops, sorry guess that would help, huh? any of them from the 64 1/2 to 73 are a nice flat tank, also the Maverick, Comet, and Cougar are the same tank. Also the Fairlanes and Torino's have nice tanks. Hopefully the GM guys will be along with some suggestions.

    Some people use the s-10 Blazer tank/I used a new 53 Chevy car tank($130)....Don
