XKE jag rearend Question
Hi Guys?Gales,
This is the first time to post on this BBS...Hope I'm asking this question in the right forum.
I have a Jag XKE rearend (that I got in parts) for my T bucket project. some parts brakedowns show a spacer behind the inner bearings and seal on the hubs. What I need to know is what goes on the short shaft before you slide the hub into place...if anything???
Thanks for any help

Looks like no one has experience on XKE rears. You might want to try a XKE or sport car site. sorry for the no responce.

Jag rears
If my memory serves me right, Jerry Kugel did about a zillion of these in street rods years ago. He is in California, Kugel Komponents? I think is the name of his company.
I do remember that most rodders took the rear out of its factory cage ( to see all those spinning parts ) and because of this they were a bear to adjust if not installed right. Changing the rotors would be a nightmare. I think you got to pull the half shafts to install new rotors.
Hope this helps
Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
