New brakes... another problem...
Howdy all! I just put an entire new brake system in my 1938 Ford PU I'm hotrodding. This is a firewall vacuum system with discs/drums. I have bled the master cyl. and the lines and even with the engine running (350, RV cam) I still get virtually nothing pressure wise. I seem to be getting pretty good vacuum coming off the top of the stock intake manifols. Yet, I only get a very small amount of foot pressure at almost the bottom of the pedal swing. I'm sorta wondering if the plunger arm is not going far enough into the master cylinder to activate things... Bottom line, I'm lost. Any and all ideas appreciated! Thanks, Dave M.

That could be the problem, but it also could be that its too long, not allowing the piston to come back far enough, thus not getting a fresh shot of fluid.I had this happen on my '72 Camino.
