    Seat removal???

Any one know the secret to removing the seats from a 89 mark Vll. It looks like studs in the seat frame going down beneath the floor but from the bottom there are no signs of nuts bolts or anything. It does look like a double floor So did they put the seats in then put a floor under the car???? I can take an air chisle to the bottom but would rather do it the right way. I have no service manuals for this car.
    Thanks Charlie

I'd venture to say that the nuts are mounted to a reinforced floor channel.

I'm not real concerned about the car. I do have to bring it back. I have a feeling they are attached to a chanel. But how or why would a car company put 2 floors in a car??? The real ? is the carpet is under the rails so that had to go in before the rails and before the floor?? I'm begining to remember why I'm not fond of working on ford products. Tomorrow I think I'll take an air chisel to the bottom of the car and see whats there. Are ford mechanics all HODENIES?

look underneath the buttom real close, some mustangs, cougars ,T- birds and
most cars with double floor pans will have a small holes just big enought to
get a deep socket,(1/2'' or 9/16'')newer cars will have matric ,some will have plugs to keep the dirt and mud out!
