it sure is lonely in here...
Just laid a fresh coat of Dupont yellow primer around my back glass and came in to check CHR while it flashes.
Streets is gone, everyone is pissed at everyone, and the only thing being discussed is who's right and who's wrong.
I don't care who's right, I don't care who got offended. I am here for the cars.
Now for my question...some paint manufacturers recommend applying filler to the bare metal, and some recommend using it over their product.
Now, if I need to clean up a couple of small spots, do I sand to the metal, apply filler, and primer?? or can I just put a small amount on the primer, sand it out, and primer it again???Ensure that the path of least resistance is not you...

Well Mad,
If the bad area isnt real big , you can use a polyester filler over primed area, but i would scuff the area needing attention with 220 grit for some adhesion. Let it cure fully before sanding as the edge can roll back.
Then re-Apply primer over repair & block

cool, thanks.
I didn't see the "wave" until after I applied the primer and cleaned my gun. I am so meticulous with my gun maintenance that having to spray again tonight would have frustrated me.
Thank you.Ensure that the path of least resistance is not you...

i would have grinded with 24 or 36 grit so the filler had good adhesion like the filler can reccomends then spray with the yellow varia prime and then put your fill primmer on
