Glass shops have been using this type of equipment for years. It's really intended to remove fine scratches, like mild wiper scratches. It's a polish that's moderately agressive. If you scratch is that type, it should work for you. The drawback is that the point of polish usually ends up distorted, depending on how agressively it had to be polished. For your back glass that would be less of an issue.
