I admit my daily driver is a 4 cyl (built in Spring hill Tn Thank you)that I've had some fun with. I've owned a couple of V8's in the past and my next project (my first "TOY") is slated for V8 install.

I like V8's but I'm really impressed with what modern science and technology has been able to do to these 4 cyl engines. Instance my daily driven 4 banger gets 38MPG but pulls a VERY traction limited 15.5 in the 1/4 and with A little bit of N2O I run mid 14's. Nothing to write home about until you consider that those times beat allot of V8 cars that get 15-25 MPG and have sky high insurance rates.

If you want to see how wild these little guys can get take a look at what GM performance has done with the Ecotec drag racing program Click here please has done. 1,000 HP on a stock block, reworked stock head, stock oiling system and stock timing gear. All out of an engine with only 127 ci. Pretty amaizing if you ask me. I can't wait until the technology trickles down to V8's THEN we'll have some impressive V8's.
