Need Help with a Vin Number!!!!!!
I'm installing a 350 vortec into my 96 Silverado. It previously had a 305; so I have to get the computer reprogrammed. I need the vin number of a truck with a 342 rear end, stock transmission, and 350 vortec engine. The dealership said they could enter that vin number in and it would program the computer correctly. If anyone knows of a junk yard or any means of finding a vin number for a chevy with those items please help me lol cause i'm haveing a hard time finding a truck like that.
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED GREATLY!!!

I think it would be cheaper to just snatch the computer from the truck your going to get the vin from. After all ,thats just exactly what you will have if they burn you computer with that vin,is the computer in that truck!!!!Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
