'56F100 Front Clip Help
Hi folks I am over in England and building a '56F100 RHD. am using a Jag rear and need a front clip. I know go to TCI and buy one!! not quite that simple as most are geared up for Mustang arms etc and I need to use Jag. so I am going to build a custom one with coilovers and all Jag XJS running gear.
BIG question is, does anyone have any plans or drawings that would help me with dimensions etc? You do not know how lucky you all are over there being able to get all the parts you need off the shelf.
Have impoted a one piece front from Fairlane Co. and a few other bits from No Limit but it's an arm and a leg by the time I get it.
If you also want to e-mail me ,can you use beresfords@aol.com
Thanks to all for reading, happy rodding.
Rick
PS Will have my own website up and running soon.

Rick, I don't think you have any idea the size of the chunk you just bit off when you said "going to build a custom one".
I've done it and others on here have done it, but it takes a learning process. I can save you a lot of grief. Purchase the books written by Carroll Smith including Tune to Win, Prepare to Win and others. This will give you the best education you could buy in the arena of IFS design and when you fully digest Smith, you will be able to design and build a quality IFS. Until then, don't do anything. That's my best advice.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Thanks Richard i will look at those books. I must add that I am a development engineer by trade and obviously have a lot of resources but it's experience I need to hear from. My pal builds Jag based Cobras for a living but they are space frame so not much help to me.
Thanks also for the welcome Don, I know my profile says FL but that was only because of the problems logging on the site,I am from the South of England.
Any more input would be most welcome.
