chrysler trans problem need help asap

my 93 new yorker had its trans replaced before i got it (had around 45000 miles on it) and ive put 10000 miles on it. well a few days ago i was getting on the expressway and at around 70 ish i lost everything. well when i got home i had forward gears but only for a minute and no reverse.
the trans fluid is still red and it doesnt smell real burnt. this has me and everyone i know totally stumped
does anyone have any idea what this could be???
    thanks guys

not supprising. '93 New Yorker, has a 3.3L V6 right? there awsome engines but the transmissions have a lot of problems. My Mom bought a '94 Concorde with the 3.3 and the trans never was quite right, after 3 years it often would not shift out of 1st, my mom found a day that the trans worked like it should, and traded it in on a '02 Concorde. if it allowed the use of forward gears but no reverse, that rules out the Torque Converter, it probably needs rebuilt.

my mom's didn't ither, until she took a trip to my grandparens and she was tacking 5k RPM's going 40 MPH cause it wouldn't shift. Monday I can check Shopkey to see if there are any TSB's on that transmission, and if so, what they are/ the fix.
