    cadillac severely overheating

ok my buddy has a 95 eldorado with the 4.6 northstar motor. it has been overheating to the point where we believe its all coming out of the overflow. we have flushed the cooling system numerous times, changed the thermostat, the water pump, the catalytic converter is empty, and just recently did a compression test where all numbers were good and experienced no leakdown
we have no been seeing any leaks from the motor either
anyone have any idea what could be causing this condition?

Yup very common problem and it won't show up with a compression test.
Get the valve covers off (I know not an easy chore) and check the head bolts.
you'll find several either broken or most likely some that have pulled the threads outa the block and the ones that haven't pulled already will pull em out when you go to retourqe the head. you'll hafta pull the engine and heli coil every one to ever make it right... I'm trying to find the G.M.service bulletin,I'llpost it later if I find it...

Still can't find the service bulletin, But theres lotsa info on the cadilac forums.
and I stand corrected on the Heli coils, they are not long enough you gotta use
Time serts.... Do every head bolt thread and new head bolts along with new head gaskets.
