    Broken Oil Pressure Fitting!

Well I went to swap out the elbow for a 45 for the sender, and either because its cold now, or the sender vibrated against the firewall (reason fo the 45) because there was little clearance, the fitting snapped with barely any force. So now I got teh threaded part in the block, on a brand new motor mind you. I looked around and either ez out, or tapping a bolt into the brass and unthreading it are the solutions. I obv dotn want brass chips in there, so im gunan try the bolt deal first, should i heat the fitting remnance up then tap the bolt into it? Just easily tap it in with it cold? I imagine the bolt idea is a one shot deal, so i want to get it right. If worst case and I have to use ez out, how would i get the chips out, as its a brand new motor? Figures this is my luck

I don't think the bolt is a good idea, and I certainly wouldn't heat it. If you're careful with the EZ out, it shouldn't generate chips. Seems to me that trying to tap a bolt into it has all kind of problems.

This happened to me a couple months back, i used a torx head driver to get it out, they have a slight taper , so it wedges itself, instead of pushing shavings in

I second the torx bit solution,I used a very small flathead screwdriver and tapped the thing in a circle till it was loose, but my engine was not installed at the time.
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

You can use what is called a "pipe extractor" which is an
EZOut type tool that is specifically made to remove broken
    nipples.

Here is a picture of one that is the wrong size for your application:

They are usually available at a "real" plumbing store. I have never seen them at a Depot

If your worried about shaving getting into the engine put some grease or vasoline in the hole first. Then after you get out the part just bump the engine the shavings and grease will come out.

Well my dad dug up a quality set of ez outs that he never used before, till now. Turned out pretty easy, couple light taps and it went right in, then it unscrewed, didnt look like any chips went in, seemed to all stay in the nipple, guess because it was brand new and not made in china lol. I would have done the vaseline thing to help, but I alreay had it out by the time I read that lol, didnt think id have responses this quick, thanks for the help guys, I crapped myself and almsot had a heart attack, at least its not just me this happens to lol. Lets see what goes wrong next.
