Soembody help me get the brake junk off the firewall!

Alright, anybody into the rod scene has to be all about having something different to ride in...so you guys shouldn't laugh at me too hard...

I've got a couple 1980 International Scouts that I drive one or the other of almost daily. I have one in particular that I'm toying with, and kinda "rodding" a bit, I guess. If that's not strange enough, it has a Nissan turbo diesel in it...factory. I'm currently smoothing the firewall and inner fenders, and I'm at the point of needing to do something with the master cylinder and booster. I want them out of sight! Under the floor, mounted with the MC at the rear seems to be the easiest way I can picture...something like this...minus the clutch stuff:

The problem arises here: Where the pedal should go through the floor is right above my frame rail. Can I put the pedal a little more left to clear the outside edge of the frame, then make a linkage to cross between the frame and floor to put the booster and MC inside the rail (there's no room for it outside...gotta go between the rail and transmission/driveshaft)? Or would I be better to go with a hanging pedal rather than a thru-the-floor pedal and make the linkage under the dash to move it inside the rail?

Second question: It will have 4 wheel discs, and it weighs @ 4000 pounds. Will a dual 7" be enough or should I go with an 8"?

Basically, we're dangerously close to West Virginia here...so I'm used to seeing pop rivets and galvanized metal bodywork, and bailin' twine and mechanics wire can fix dern near anything. I don't know much about making stuff look purty, and want to try to do this one right. I appreciate any help you guys can give me!

Our website is down. Once we get it up and running again, I'll post a few pictures.

    Alright, here's a picture.

There is a seam running front-to-rear, about an inch and a half from where I cut the floor out. Just to the right of this seam, and forward enough to be out of the picture, is where the throttle pedal mounts. So the brake pedal needs to be left of the seam, making it outside the framerail. The booster needs to mount in the tunnel, pretty much where the transfer case used to be, along side the transmission tailshaft...inside the framerail.
There's a body mount seen at the very top of the picture that is going to make a thru-the-floor pedal pretty much impossible. So I guess my question has evolved into this:
Anybody got any pics of a booster/MC under the floor, but still using a hanging pedal? I need some help with the linkage to make this thing work.

Also, still...will a dual 7" booster be enough to stop my 4k pound Scout?

    my pedal

this is the brake pedal i got from jegs. it might get you a little closer to the firewall area and provide better leg room. it comes with the pedal, mounting tabs, and plunger. ignore the bailing wire it is not included in the kit.

That looks like something I can use to get through the floor, then maybe just run the pivot through the frame to the inside, then linkage back to the booster. Thanks.
