    Question What does the 41 chevy vin plate look like?

    May sound like a stupid question what does a 41 chevy coupe vin plate look like? the plate with my car was removed before blasting by previous owner. the plate with it is just a rectangle piece of metal, rivet hole at each corner, and vin numbr stamped in. Is this correct? it just looks a lil too simple. does match # on my title tho. Anyone???
    thanks

    My 37 is just what you said. Retanglar piece of metal with just 4 numbers for the Vin code.
    Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

    Do you want some numbers too?

    I think that may be illegal.

    No I dont need #'s. I have the title and a VIN plate. I just wanted to make sure this was infact the correct vin plate. Its a really cheesy looking piece of tin, and before I go into the DMV I wanted to make sure I had every thing in line. This car hasnt been titled since 1955 and I know I gonna have to jump thru hoops.

    Not anything illegal here.

    I wouldn't walk thru the door with the vin tag in my hand. That could realy start things going the wrong way. My 38 was just a pc of metal about 1" x 4" and had the numbers spamped on it. I'm not sure but I think it was aluminum.

    Early Chevy VIN plates look like this: NN...XX...nn...ssss

    NN = Assembly Plant (There were 10 different ones)
    AH or AG = Year and model code (AH = 1941 Special Deluxe, AG = 1941 Master Deluxe)
    nn = Build month
    ssss = serial number

    If your VIN plate doesn't match this formula, but the number matches your title, you should still be good to go.
