Ford 460 heads what's the major difference ???
I'm building up a 460 for my 1979 Ford F150 4x4 extended cab.
The truck is being converted over to propane only. So far I've bought a full MSD system, 2 Impco 425 mixxers, Thunderbolt dual intake, headers , 10:1 pistons, propane cam, Cloyes timing set ,roller rockers....lot's of other dress up parts.
I'd like to be able to get around 12:1 compression using the 10:1 compression pistons. Which heads work the best with a 0 to 5500 RPM engine. DOVE ,CR3e or ?????
I'm really curious too see how efficient I can get this truck to run, I'll post up picks of the build soon.
Any help is appreciated, I just don't know which heads will work best with what mods ??

Never have ran a propane engine. I do know the DOVE A or B heads work good on gas... Not sure what the charachteristics of propane are....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Just want to get the compression up to 12:1 . I'll redo the valves and seats. Propane runs well at that level so i'd like to hit it.
