Wheels question from newbe yeoldhotrodder
Hey Hows everyone doin??
Doug here from Misssouri and I'm in the process of building a rat rod.
So far I shortened around three feet out of an old 68 chevy truck frame.
The theme is going to be a 23 chevy panel hearse made from 3/4" plywood ie sides floor etc. now the truck came with six lug rims. I have found a set of skinneys for the front on e-bay, 5" width to be exact. But the wheels are from the fourties with the hub car clips. My question is: Does anyone know if these old wheels fit the 68 or did they change the bolt patteren over the years? Years ago someone told me that 8 hole and 6 hole rims are all the same on every truck. The only change went into effect concerning the five lug vechicles.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Doug
