The grinding bug has bitten again...

I was playing in the garage and happened to be sitting on the floor looking up at the profile of my f100.

    I'M GONNA SECTION THE CAB 3 INCHES.....YESSSSS!!!!

That will bring the cab down to the level of the bed and allow me to mate the body lines better.

It's already chopped 3 inches, so I am going to cut the legs off my seat frame so I have some headroom.

Off to my job, then home for some REAL work!!!!

Wouldn't it be easier to just get a chair for your shop?
Setting on the floor like that has made the blood run out of your head <g>...

Just thinking out loud here .........LOL
But depending on where you section it , you will either have to section the hood , or fenders also .............I would think.

Man that a big job to tackle.
Good luck & post some build pics.

I have a project 40 sedan been messing with for a few years, chopped 3" out of the roof and sectioned 3'' out of the beltline just below the windows. That wasn't real tough, but the hood is a booger !!!!!! If the hood ever gets done, I want to raise the fenders, taper the ends in to the body and eliminate the boards. Hey Grinder, hope your shop floor isn't as cold as mine is this time of year, can cause serious problems. !!

    Cut it up I say!

I think the most fun I had building my A was the few bits I got to cut up, (except the first blast round the block!!) Section the sucker, there aren't enough customs round any more,
I will say though, (I'm not a kustom purist) I don't like to see 'good' tin being sliced.... anyways,

What I had in the shed for them thinkin times, was an old school seat (don't tell them!) which had about 12 inches sectioned, ok, hacked off, to get me down low and in the zone, without the Monkey butt....
