    Question accelarater [?] cable adjustment?

Howdy, was wondering if anybody knew how to change the length of cable from pedal to carb? Put on different bracket to use kickdown cable from tranny and both attach to the same bracket. Have clip-on end at carb and down by the pedal cable has ball type stop on the end. I'm only getting 1/2 pedal so how can I shorten it by 1-1 1/2 inches? Is there any type of of ball stop that clamps on the cable that will hold and not slide or pop off cable? Thanks for any info and ideas you got. Will check back later as it's time to go earn my dime. Thanks again.

The mose common one you can get at any hardware store. It's looks like a piece of 1/4 brass rod with a hole through the side for the cable and a screw threaded into the top to grabe the cable. They will put kinks in your cable. I usually fit it where I want it before tightening the screw than cut it off and solder the end so they dont unravel. Just looks better.

Thanks for the idea. I think I kinda know what you are talking about now that you describe it and how it works. Bet it would do the trick for me. Will work it up this weekend and see how it goes. Thanks again, Jud,
