Preformed radiator hose
I'm interested in replacing the lower radiator hose in my roadster with the preformed variety, right now I have one of those universal corrugated types.
I'm looking for one that would fit SBC to Walker radiator on my '34. Dimensions are 1-3/4 pump inlet to 1-1/2 at the rad. Does anyone out there have a similar setup that may have a good part number/source. Thanks.

I offer this ONLY as a guide, you should make a pattern and compare for yourself. I've used a Carquest # 21285, it's a Gates hose so may be the same number.
I use a piece of wire as a pattern, something like a length of coat hanger. I bend it to the desired shape then go to the parts store and they turn me loose on the wall of hoses. Usually I have to find the shape I want within the length of some hose. So the one I gave above, for example, needed to be shortened to fit. Sorry, can't remember for sure, but I think I took the appropriate amount off each end, and trimmed the inner spring as needed (and you really want to keep the spring).Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Thanks guys, the pic looks pretty close and I already guessed that it would require some trimming. Oh Bob, just an idea, I used to make a lot of templates for hard lines using 1/8 aluminum welding rod, a whole lot easier to work with than coat hanger material. I keep a tube of it around just for that purpose.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
