Hot Rod Employment in NJ ??
I want to know if there are any hot rod places in the NJ area, where someone whose passion is hot rod/classic cars, can find employment? The only places I can seem to find are in CA, or other states. There has to be somewhere.

Yes there are plenty of Hot Rod and Speed Shop related places in northern, NJ however, before you get your hopes up you have to ask yourself the only real question, which is, what skills do you bring to their table? Without job specific skills you are going to have a tough time finding specific work in the custom car market.

Hey Bill,
Thanks for the reply. It is not for me, but my husband, and the skills he brings are extensive. Can you provide me with the names of some places so he can send out a resume, or go in person to speak with someone?

I am hesitant to send you the email addresses for the people I know so instead I responded to your PM with one of my email addresses you can send out his resume to. I shall then forward it to the dozen or so shop owners I know and your husband can then go from there if and when he hears back from them.

Jeez- this guy is looking for a job - can't you at least give him the names and addresses. Person to person contact may help him get a foot in the door.

Enough said.

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
