A friend painted his frame and his front calipers and various frame components with a brush. Everything developed tiny bumps all over the surface. He claimed he followed the prep directions religiously. Anybody know what happened? He won't go near the stuff now. I'd like to give it a try but I don't dare till I find out what happened. His calipers peeled after he spilled brake fluid on them. Him not happy 'bout Por15. Thanks.

Were the calipers brand new? When they are new they are heavily covered with oil. I am willing to put money on it being caused by not cleaning the surface good enough. In the instructions it says not to use thinner (I think it was thinner maybe alcohol) to clean cause it leaves a film that will affect the product. What did he use to clean the parts? Did he use the calipers on the car and then then bubbles started to appaer ? If the bubbles appeared as soon as the paint dried it was probably from preparation. If the bubbles appeared awhile later then maybe heat affected the paint.
Does anyone know how heat will affect POR 15?Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 04-07-2007 at 11:52 AM.

Three dogs are in the waiting room at the veterinarian. One of the dogs ask the first dog, which is a terrier, why are you here? The terrier responds, well I've got a problem with biting people...
