500 ci cady with 5 speed

Someone here asked if they could mount a stick trans on a 500ci cady. Well here is one. Its a Chrysler NV4500 5 speed. They used a Chevy bellhousing with a 3/8" steel adapter plate. This is being used in a IH Scout for off road.

    500 caddy trans

    hey,
If I,m not mistaken you have to drill the crank for the pilot bearing and then try to find a (bop) bell housing.this housing comes with the starter on both sides (2) mounting holes, and then you can bolt diff gm transmissions to the bell housing. b.o.p. stands for BUICK-OLDS-PONTIAC. good luck, dave
