60's ford truck straight axle question
if i take a front straight axle set up out of a early 60's ford truck, can i narrow it to fit a 31 ford frame? if so, can disc rotors off some other vehicle slide on the drum spindles?

No. don't cut and weld a front axle unless you have a heat treating facility..... Far better to buy a new axle that will fit the car correctly, might want to check with Speedway Motors, they have an economy front kit with disc brakes at a reasonable price....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
