What we did for the large sender was to put an AN fitting
in the block, mount the sender on the firewall, and run an
AN -4 hose over to it. The hose has sufficient slack loop
to live thru the engine moving. We made a custom bracket
(like a clamp type bracket) but an Adel clamp would probably
    work also.

Or you could use a 1/8xclose pipe nipple and a 45* or 90* elbow. It's not pretty, but it works.
