    Had an interesting........

Drive in "old yellow" today, Judy and were crusin down the back roads when we heard one of those "Oh sh!t" bangs, let off the gas then a second bang, we coasted to a driveway with no fwd gears, tried rev and got another bang, rev gone also, looked under with her running and driveshaft spinning, Hmmm rearend, rearend or rearend.

Called a buddy and got my other truck, hooked em up via tow rope and headed for his shop with Judy following us, at 30mph we swapped thumbs up and all was well for about a mile, checking the mirror I saw Mike waving his arm wildly and a big black bouncing object......TIRE... ....no shoulder here, slowed a little and watched the sparks fly for a couple miles till I got to a road to turn off and stop, Judy pulled in behind wide eyed and speechless, seems she never saw a wheel come off a truck, let alone one with brake drum and axle attached.

Looking old yellow over, the lower coil arm caught it all, brake, backing plate and all sheet metal O.K. , back up the road hunting the rest, no damage to the tire/rim/drum or axle, did'nt look bent but I'll check it latter, did wipe out the wheel bearings and I'm guessing spider/ring/pinon gears, guess I exceeded I the wild burn out limit.

No one was hurt and it could have been much worse so I'm not complaining.

You don't have to have a spool to use 'em.
