The motor will fit just fine in your car, it will bolt right up. If you wanted to, you could put a new cam kit in it, and rebuild the heads, and that would wake that 350 up quite a bit. Parts are very available for that engine. many engine sights have many parts for 350. main ones I shop at are www.jegs.com, or www.summitracing.com.

Yep, no problem. When putting in the new engine, if you leave the tranny in that is, you will have to jack the tranny up higher, mate up the housing to the engine, bolt that up, then drop it down on the engine mounts, and it should line up fine. Although, you might have to try, re try, and re try over and over to get it to line up right. It can be frustrating sometimes, but eventually it will slide in right. Heck, maybe on the first try it will line up perfect

make sure to take the time to have the block checked at the machine shop. It will cost a few bucks but it is best to know you have a good solid foundation first before spending money and then having to do it all again. Talk to the guys at the machine shop and tell them what it is you want to accomplish and most times they will help you out with things.
