    3800 series ll engine swap

Not hot rod but im having trouble. I swapped a 99 Olds 3800 series ll into a 95 olds that had a 3800 series ll engine . The engine i picked up had a flywheel . Looking at it looked indenticle even some rough measurement at certain places was the same . I measured from bottom of block to outer ring gear and both measured the same , then i measured from outer ring gear to center of bolt holes for converter and it was the same . Then i put it in and i cant get the converter bolts started . Looking thru inspection opening they look off a little . Is there a trick let me know ive been looking for the big hammer at wits end here .

well i pulled the starter so i could get a better look . The flywheel bolts are off by about 3/16 of a inch to converter . I might think about air filling it open or may just pull engine foward and see if i can get to flywheel bolts to change it out . 3800 series ll engines $@#&
