    1956 ford data plate info

Hi everyone, I just traded for a 56 Ford Victoria. I was told it has a 312 engine. I don't know where to look for the engine #s. I may be in the wrong forum. If so, can someone guide me in the right direction. I have the info on the plate. It is:
    M6DV114919
    64C body
    E color
    BG trim
    Production 12K7013D

As always, any help will be greatly appreciated
    THANKS!

I find they're all 312's until the heads come off. Even if the car was a 312 when new, a lot can happen in half a century.

    A 312 should have casting mark ECZ-C on the block. ECZ-B is a 292.
