Best Way To Mount A Pusher Fan On A Walker Radiator With A Condenser

THIS IS A TWO PART QUESTION, ,THE RADIATOR IS 16X24 THE CONDESER IS 12X21" SHOULD i USE A 12 " OR 16'' FAN? SECOND IF IT IS THE 16" FAN HOW SHOULD I MOUNT IT SINCE IT WOULD BE WIDER THAN THE CONDENSER? i CANNOT USE THE ZIP TIES THE GO THRU THE CONDENSER(THE CONDENSER SITS FLUSH TO THE RADIATOR) ??? ANY PICS OR ADVISE??? THE CAR IS A 39 CHEVY CAR

Do you have no room for a puller fan?

Hmmm, tough one. Well, I would use the very biggest fan possible, the 16, and fab up some aluminum or steel brackets to make the fan stand off of the condensor. You could make some strap type mounts (like 2 of them) to run horizontally across the front side of the condensor, and mount your pusher to those.

Pushers are generally less effective than a puller, but if you go with a really good quality fan like a SPAL, you should be ok, I think.

2 questions again, the 16 " pusher fan is rated a 3950 cfm, if I weld 1/8" x 1" bar strap the the radiator support (not the radiator)so that it it horizontal across the the front for mounting locations for the fan, & leave it about 1/8" off of the condenser will I have any major problems??? this fan will be the only fan on the cAR. THE SECOND QUESTION IS ....SINCE THE BBC SIT LOW IN THE FRAME i HAVE 12" OF CLEARENCE ABOVE THE WATER PUMP, WOULD i BE BETTTER TO JUST INSTALL A 12" PULLER TO THE TOP 2/3 OF THE RADIATOR? A 1600CFM IS THE BIGGEST 12" i HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND, WOULD THAT BE ENOUGH TO COOL A 454 AT IDLE OR SLOW SPEED A SHOWS BEHIND PEOPLE???? OR SHOULD I STILL TRY FIND A WAY TO MOUNT THE 16" 3950 CFM PUSHER IN FRONT OF THE CONDENSER( IF IS MAKES A DIFFERENT IS IS THE BIGGEST RADIATOR WALKER MAKES FOR A BBC IN A 39 CHEVY.
    THANKS FOR ANY HELP
