    !953 Chevy Sedan Rear End

I have a 1953 Chevy Sedan two door and it is all original. 235 six shooter, 3 speed tranny and enclosed driveline. I bought a 2 speed powerglide for it and now i want to get rid of the enclosed driveline with a different rear end. Does anyone have any suggestions on what rear end to use? I heard one out of a '55-'57 shevy were go right in with no problem, Is that true? Fill me in Im new here. Thanks.

Well, the 5-6-7 rear will work, that's what I put in my '54 back in the '60's. Now, though, I'd go for a Camaro or Trans Am rear, newer and better ratio availability.

What year of camaro or trans am would you suggest? Do you think I would have to do a lot of alterations to make it work in my application?

2nd gen is ( '70-'81 ) bolt in, you'll need a diffrent length driveshaft, but you don't have 1 anyway
