Need help IDing a 30/40/50's(??) Pontiac Steering Wheel

I was at a local BoneYard that a friend owns && found a 30/40/50's(??) Pontiac column w/turns signals & steering wheel on it. It has a self canceling turn signal switch at top of the column which I thought was odd.I'd grab it since everything was there & in great condition. The turn signal switch has a metal 2 piece collar that wraps around the column & has GUIDE 6005 on it. I did find some numbers on the gear box cover the #'s 263418 MW and on the steering arm was 5661584(M)4 plus you have to turn the horn button to get it off....
i figured since there are sites that have pics of just hub caps or wheels/rims or tail lights or hood ornaments that there might be one for steering columns BUT I haven't found one yet, so can ya help me out.
sorry folks but no pics because of the lack of a camera..thanks..joe

The Guide signal switch is an accessory item, added on later, which means your column is old enough to have been built before they were standard equipment. I think 1953 was the first year for built-in signals.
