    new car finally here

well i bought a new ride to enjoy now, and parked the anglia to the back of the garage to enjoy later. my thoughts are now that i can pull the drive line from this car for my anglia when the time comes. until then we will have a cruiser to play in. my wife was a little bitter at 1st because she does not like the notch back stangs versus the hatchback. she now likes it sine we took it for a spin last night. its not a street friendly car at all, but it sure is a blast to drive and gets a lot of looks, probably because it shakes the road when it goes by. anyway i am happy with the car, its a 1980 mustang 2, wieghs in at 2500 lbs. has a 1970 super cobra jet 429 block bored .030 over, a 460 crank with eagle rods and 11-1 ross pistons, a .660 lift roller cam, with 1971 460 intercepter heads, a C-6 tranny with a coan 4000 stahl into a reinforced 9 inch with 4.10 gears. it is a mid 10 second street car, and it runs on E85 fuel.

Nice ride for sure. These Fox bodies were made for the 429-460 engines, it just makes such a sweet swap. That was the plan for the 460 I have sitting on a stand, it was going into an '84 Capri, but I sold it to my Son and he is a 306 kinda guy. But I had it all set up for the big block with tube crossmember and all. Maybe he'll sell it back to me someday (we've sold it back and forth 3 times already)

I envy you, I bet that thing is a monster.
