Running out of steam
I have been working on a chopped/ext cab 48 GMC truck for 3 yrs. I am running out of steam & want to buy a cheap 60's convertible as a diversion untill I get the trk done.
It looks like the cheapest convertible is a Corvair($4 to $6k).
Anyone have any expexience wth these?(good or bad)

Any corvair around here is nothing more then a big pile of rust , and not even worth the trouble of fixing , as they dont bring any money after you have put a ton in it .

Corvair's are neat little cars, but most of them, are shot and in need of repair. in my area, Corvair Monza converts that are restorable, go from $500- $3,000. Triumph TR4/ MGA/ MGB might be better for restoring and maintaining value. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
