Leaking rear axle seals
I have a 1965 Chevy pickup and the rear seals are leaking. Can anyone help with how to replace the seals? I thought the axles could be just pulled out but it looks like I have to remove the rear end housing to remove the axles. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to open the rear end/remove the pin in the center of the back ,by taking out a bolt that holds the pin in.Then once the pin is out ,you need to push the axel towards the center of truck and there is a c shaped washer holding the axel in.then the axel will pull right out.Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

The gears on the pin need to come out too,you just simply rotate the carrier, wheels off ground. Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
