How can I have 6 volt in my fuel gauge
Hi guys. I'm working on a Ford delivery 1936 with a 455HO and we're using stock gauge for fuel and I don't know how can I reduce my battery 12 volt for 6 volt at my gauge. If someone could help, it would be very nice. Thanks

I'm sure you could buy a volt a drop someplace. We used them in the 50's
when we started putting OHV engines in ol Fords. Today they're proly
fancier.

"Runtz" (brand) is the best reducer for fuel gauges. a little more bucks but worth it all.

Ford had instrument reducers in all their cars and trucks from 1957 to the 80's somewhere. All the parts stores carry them. One is used for all gauges.

Word to the wise...That little box mounted behind the instrument panel is NOT a voltage reducer. Inside of it are two copper strips that heat up and bend, breaking the circuit when the current is too high. It's a resetable slo-blow fuse. Some get confused by the name of it and believe it's a voltage reducer. It is not. Use the runtz, Ron Francis or switch to 12 volt gauges.52 Ford F-1, 327 Chevy, S-10 frame
